Seeking help from a Muslim Jinn

Question

Is it permissible to seek treatment with one who claims that he has dealings with a doctor from among the Muslim jinn?

Answer

It is not permissible to seek the help of the jinn for medical treatment or anything else, and it is not permissible to go to one who claims to do that.

The Muslim should not be deceived by the success of anyone’s treatment or seeing the effects of that, for the Dajjaal will tell the sky to rain and it will rain, and he will tell the earth to bring forth its treasure and it will do so. Should the Muslim be deceived by him and believe his claims? It may be a test or a gradual punishment from Allaah.

“We shall gradually seize them with punishment in ways they perceive not”

[al-A’raaf 7:182].

Shaykh ‘Abd al-‘Azeez ibn ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked about the ruling on using the services of Muslim jinn to treat disease if that is needed. He replied:

The sick person should not use the services of the jinn for treatment or ask them for anything, rather he should ask well known doctors, but he should not turn to the jinn, because that is a means that leads to worshipping them and believing them. Among the jinn are some who are kaafirs and some who are Muslims, and some who are innovators, and you do not know about them. So you should not rely on them or ask them for anything, even if they appear to you. Rather you should ask the people of knowledge and human doctors. Allaah condemned the mushrikeen as He said (interpretation of the meaning):

And verily, there were men among mankind who took shelter with the males among the jinn, but they (jinn) increased them (mankind) in sin and transgression

[al-Jinn 72:6]

And it is a means that leads to dependence upon them and shirk, and it leads to seeking benefit from them and seeking their help, and all of that is shirk. End quote.

Majallat al-Da’wah (no. 1602, Rabee’ al-Awwal 1418AH, p. 34)

Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him) said:

The help of the jinn should not be sought, whether from the Muslims among them or those who say that they are Muslim, because he may say that he is Muslim but he is lying in order to interfere with people. This should be prevented from the outset. It is not permissible to seek the help of the jinn even if they say that they are Muslims, because this opens the door to trouble.

It is not permissible to seek the help of one who is absent whether he is a jinni or otherwise, and whether he is a Muslim or not. Rather we should seek the help of one who is present and is able to help, as Allaah said of Moosa (interpretation of the meaning):

The man of his (own) party asked him for help against his foe

[al-Qasas 28:15]

Moosa was present and able to help, and it was possible for him to help as this was an ordinary situation. End quote

Jazaakallah khairan… But I would appreciate if you could clarify me more on how it leads to shirk?? I mean they could may be take the sihr and bring it to someone… Anyhow they can’t be trusted is a fact..

Unfortunately, many doctors practising modern medicine are using harmful chemicals. Modern medicine is a deception. Prophetic medicine says: in order to get cured you should purify your body and soul. Modern medicine says: in order to get cured you should introduce more toxins to your body.

Can some one advise me on the fate of a sheikh sending the moslem jinns to arrest the non moslem jinns from a moslem home where the sheikh claimed that there was a jinn that was using a woman every night having been sent by a co wife. What is the islamic staff on such treatment using the so called muslim jinns to intervene in such circustance?

  5. Mohammed Ayub says:

Allah had descended Shifa in the Quran, True beliver must& should seek the help from Quran and Prophetic traditions only, Other than this you can seek the help which do not contain shirk, If you’re able to judge between Tauheed and shirk then you can do the treatment. There is no way you can seek the help from jinn whether its muslim or non muslim. No muslim jinn will come for help coz they know there boundaries and who ever claim they are muslim they’re lair.

Muslims should seek help and assistance of any kind from ALLAH only, otherwise anything other than Allah is shirk.Remember Allah controls all creation including Muslim Jinns, human beings,Angels and shaitan himself. Remember also that nothing can happen without His permission,His knowledge, and his authorization. Dear Muslim brother and sisters, take care when you see some sheilks invoke jinns to help solve some problems of humans it is pure shirk.
Simply do your five salaat every day, tell Allah your problems and He will provide solutions the way he deems better for you and His solution is always the best.

    Assalamualaikum
In the above answer sheikh Ibm baz(rahimahulla) is trying to say that seeking help of the jinn is not shirk but a way to shirk(vaseelathu shirk).ie, that is haram doing so,
Can any one quote any quran aayah or sahih hadeeth to state that seeking help of the jinn is not shirk but a way to shirk or haram?
some of my friends told that seeking ‘any’ help from invisible creatures are shirk and there is no concept of Vaseelathu shirk
    Please clarify my doubt

    ﴿وَقَالَ أَوْلِيَآؤُهُم مِّنَ الإِنْسِ رَبَّنَا اسْتَمْتَعَ بَعْضُنَا بِبَعْضٍ﴾

(and their friends among the people will say: “Our Lord! We benefited one from the other…”) The friends of the Jinns among humanity will give this answer to Allah, after Allah chastises them for being misguided by the Jinns. Al-Hasan commented, “They benefited from each other when the Jinns merely commanded and mankind obeyed.” Ibn Jurayj said, “During the time of Jahiliyyah, a man would reach a land and proclaim, `I seek refuge with the master (Jinn) of this valley,’ and this is how they benefited from each other. They used this as an excuse for them on the Day of Resurrection.” Therefore, the Jinns benefit from humans since humans revere the Jinns by invoking them for help. The Jinns would then proclaim, “We became the masters of both mankind and the Jinns.”

    ﴿وَبَلَغْنَآ أَجَلَنَا الَّذِى أَجَّلْتَ لَنَا﴾

(but now we have reached our appointed term which You did appoint for us.) meaning, death, according to As-Suddi.

    ﴿قَالَ النَّارُ مَثْوَاكُمْ﴾

(He (Allah) will say: “The Fire be your dwelling place…”) where you will reside and live, you and your friends,

    ﴿خَـلِدِينَ فِيهَآ﴾

(you will dwell therein forever. ) and will never depart except what Allah may will.

    ﴿وَكَذَلِكَ نُوَلِّى بَعْضَ الظَّـلِمِينَ بَعْضاً بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكْسِبُونَ ﴾

    (129. And thus We do make the wrongdoers supporters of one another, because of that which they used to earn.)
